Mango Technologies one of the hottest Google Trend in India

Mango Technologies one of the hottest Google Trend on Oct 27 is one of the hottest startup's in India. They work on the user experience requirements for the low end mobile handsets.

Their motto is building mobile phones that are low on cost, high on features. "We are working on a product which can change the way average users use their mobile phones. It's a continuous journey to achieve this long term vision in multiple phases and create a world class product from India for Indian and global emerging market consumers."

Mango Technologies is gearing up to be a big disruptor in the value-added-services
on mobile phone space soon. Today, lower-end phones cannot run operating systems like Symbian because of inadequate memory. Mango is working on a platform that has one-tenth the memory footprint of current mobile OS.

MINT-Wall Street Journal described Mango Technologies as one of the 'Top Ten Startup Companies of 2008'.

In 2007, he won the top innovation award from Nasscom and recently, Business World named him one of the top five entrepreneurs in India.

This is how Mango Technologies works.

Well, low cost mobile phones !! Not sure if there is a future for low cost mobile phones. When high end phones are available on competitive prices, why to go for low cost with low features.
Aneway, its a good job though. There are very few indian startups which are able to sustain and go beyond 5-10 years.
Just wondering about the range of products launched by this company, can somebody provide any idea. How many products are there in market based on this framework, and what different features it provided which are not seen in any other framework.

Well, I have not heard of any phone which uses Mango Framework. One thing I want to know is, low cost means how low ? I mean, will the phone be in range of say 100 to 200 Rs ? Because in 2000 to 3000 Rs range we get good multimedia phones. If this is not low cost, then very good for society :)

Everybody seems to be starting a company in mobile user interface domain ! Not many succeeds though. And main reason for that is absance of innovations.

It's very strange that till now there have not been a revolution in the way a user interacts with the phone device.
Every player in this domain go round and round around the same old fashion UI. Everybody claims to have something different but ...

Yes every seems to start a company these days with promises which are just crap. This company is one of the worst who treat's its employees with utmost neglect and disdain. The founders feel that they can make everybody work for free. They dont pay salaries in time to people , but hide these from public view. Even if work is done, they always say nothing is done.

If employees don't get salary on time, means TROUBLE. Better to look for something else !
Regarding products, I will always doubt the quality of products from a company where the employees are more worried about getting Salaries on time !

Hey anonymous employee, how much the founders themselves work ?

The founders of this company were part of another start up company Qusar Innovations. Even that company did not pay salaries when it got closed. Don't know what happend to that company. I think that was a complete failure.
