Advertising in India is yet to Pick Up after Recession.

Online advertising, currently the smallest component of the total advertising spend in India, will experience the highest growth over the next five years, growing at a compound rate of 32%, as per a recent PwC report. As a consequence, its share of the overall advertising spend in the country will rise to 5.5% in 2013 up from 2.3% in 2008.

But if we see advertising in 2009 compared with last 3 years data 2006, 2007 and 2008, 2009 has not been so great.

If we see the popularity of Search keywords for "advertising or ads",  2008 and 2009 saw a decrease in popularity for these keywords. This clearly shows there is a decrease in the interest for advertising in 2008 and it continued till 2009.
